NATIONAL JUDGES ARRIVE JULY 20, 2006

The Communities in Bloom National Judges will be arriving in North Bay on July 20, 2006. The Judges will be touring the North Bay community looking at heritage preservation, which includes how well architectural and natural sites are looked after. They will examine gardens and floral arrangements, environmental efforts, landscaped areas, sports fields, trees in the city, tidiness and community involvement.

Communities in Bloom is a national ranking program to recognize local efforts to beautify, preserve and revitalize communities. This will be North Bay’s sixth year competing in the 10,000-50,000 category across Canada. For more information, call Jess at 474-0400 ext 337.

Efforts are recognized and rewarded by qualified judges for community involvement, heritage preservation, environmental awareness, tidiness,
floral displays, turf and open spaces, landscapes,
and urban forestry.
